COVID-19 and My Practice
Since the onset of COVID-19 in early 2020, most people's lives have been significantly impacted and compromised. The reverberating consequences, such as increased social isolation, economic instability, and health-related fears and concerns, have led to more need than ever for the healing perspective that mental health care provides. Children and adolescents have been especially impacted by COVID-19 related stressors, and rates of depression and anxiety for younger people have risen significantly as we all continue to navigate difficulties related to the pandemic.
It is my hope that my practice can offer a place of thought, reflection, growth, and safety in the midst of the uncertainty brought forth for many pandemic. I acknowledge this while also knowing that many patients will seek help with difficulties beyond pandemic-related concerns, such as previously situated stressors, parenting challenges, long-standing depression, anxiety, and problems associated with traumatogenic experiences, just to name a few. It is my hope that together in the therapy process, we can make room for a type of healing that encompasses and cares for all areas of need, including COVID-19 related difficulties and beyond.
With the above in mind, I am currently offering in-person treatment sessions, as well as telehealth sessions through an online, confidential platform. We can discuss which modality would be best for you during our initial phone call. I look forward to it, and thank you for visiting my website.
